Just as predicted, it is already raining in Uttarakhand and in most parts of Uttar Pradesh. It is expected to get heavier and continue till the 21st of July.
The low pressure system may have moved to north India but its clouding effects still continue to provide moisture content to central India, bringing moderate rains here. Madhya Pradesh, Vidharbha, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa will continue to have rainy and cloudy days. Rain will continue to be moderate of up to 30mm for another 48hours.
In the last 24hours, various stations of south and central India recorded rain. Bhopal recorded 14mm of rain, Guna-36mm, Nagpur-14mm, Jabalpur- 29mm, Hyderabad-13mm and Ramagundum-177mm. Station at Orissa, i.e. Balasore and Cuttack recorded 7mm and 5mm of rain respectively.
As the low pressure system and the axis of monsoon trough shifts and merges together over Uttar Pradesh, northeastern parts of Bihar could also receive light rain below 10mm. Rain may increase in Bihar after 24hours.
