Monsoon 2022 is turning out to be very good for Gujarat. Generally, Gujarat does not receive good rainfall, but so far between June 1 and July 22, Saurashtra and Kutch have received 79% more rainfall. Gujarat division has received 50% more rainfall than normal.
During the last few days, there has been some reduction in the heavy rains in Gujarat but light to moderate rain activities are still going on. Under its influence, a low pressure area may also form at the same place during the next 24 to 48 hours.
Rain will increase once again in Gujarat and heavy rains may occur in many districts. Due to this, the risk of waterlogging and flooding is increasing once again. These rain activities will be more over Kutch and East Gujarat.
The most affected districts could be Bhuj, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Mahesana, Himmatnagar, Gandhinagar, Mahisagar, Godhra, Vadodara, Dahod and Chhota Udaipur. The southern districts of Gujarat will see light to moderate rain. These rain activities are likely to continue for the next 2 or 3 days.
