During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Hanamkonda recorded heavy rain to the tune of 53 mm. In the similar time frame, Nizamabad witnessed 10.2 mm of rain, Ramagundam 6.1 mm and Medak 5 mm of rains. However, the capital city Hyderabad only settled with traces of rains.

In fact, Telangana is one of the most rain surplus states this southwest Monsoon season. As on July 19, Telangana is rain surplus by 24 percent.

As per Skymet Weather, the low pressure area over Odisha and West Bengal will move towards the west. Therefore, we anticipate heavy to very rains over the northern districts during the next 24 to 48 hours. In fact, capital city, Hyderabad is also likely to witness light to moderate showers during the same time span. In fact, some parts may even see flood like conditions.

Thereafter, the intensity of Monsoon rains will reduce significantly. Although, scattered light rains may continue. The upcoming heavy spells will also increase the rain surplus further. In wake of these rains, the temperatures will witness a drop turning the weather pleasant.
