During the last 24 hours, western parts of Rajasthan witnessed light rains. Whereas, the eastern parts received moderate to heavy rainfall activity. In fact, Sawai Madhopur recorded heavy rain to the tune of 126 mm.
In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Bharatpur recorded 90 mm of rain, followed by Bundi 16 mm, Kota 4 mm, Barmer 0.3 mm, Sikar 4 mm.

At present, an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over northeastern parts of Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Southwest Uttar Pradesh. The axis of monsoon trough is also seen passing through northern parts of Rajasthan.
Simultaneously, another cyclonic circulation lies over Southeast Rajasthan at mid and upper tropospheric levels.
Under the influence of all these conditions, we expect moderate rains over many places along with few heavy spells to continue over the eastern parts of Rajasthan. Meanwhile, western parts of Rajasthan will witness mostly dry and very warm weather conditions.
Due to incursion of moist air mass, light rain may affect at isolated places over West Rajasthan. Places like Jaipur, Mount Abu, Udaipur, Kota, Bundi will witness moderate rainfall activity with few heavy spells.
Further on July 24, eastern parts of Rajasthan will witness increase in rainfall intensity.
Places like Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar will remain dry and very warm with humid weather conditions.
