An upper air cyclonic circulation over south Orissa and north Andhra Pradesh coast is persisting and tilting southwards with height.
Monsoon trough is passing through Ferozepur, Muzaffarnagar, Hardoi, Balia, Bhagalpur and Malda towards eastwards to Nagaland. Another branch is also moving from Balia to south east bay towards Ambikapur, Phulwani and Gopalpur.
Heavy to moderate rain is expected over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, west Assam and Bihar in the next 24 hours. Temperatures will drop along the region due to rain.
Rain would increase over east Uttar Pradesh Chhattisgarh south Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Few moderate spells are likely in Vidarbha, Marathwada, Parts of Himachal, Punjab, Arunachal Pradesh and along the west coast.
West Rajasthan would continue to be the hottest belt in the country. Mainly dry spell is expected over the area including north Gujarat.
Meanwhile, light rain is expected over remaining parts of the country except south Bengal parts of Rayalseema and south Tamil Nadu.
Central India may observe drop in temperature. Mornings will be pleasant over the region.
