Parts of Madhya Pradesh have been receiving good rain for the last 2 to 3 days. Parts of Chhattisgarh have also witnessed moderate showers during the last 24 hours. Strong easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal and a cyclonic circulation at 10000 feet will be responsible for moderate to heavy showers over many parts of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh during the next 6 to 7 days.
As on June 22nd, east Madhya Pradesh is deficient by 89% and West Madhya Pradesh by 61% on the other hand Chhattisgarh is also significantly rain deficient with a deficiency of 87%. We are sure that by the end of June, both states may come under the normal rain category. There are chances of water logging and flash floods over parts of Madhya Pradesh between June 25 and 28.
Many districts of Chhattisgarh may also witness flooding rains during this period.
