Mumbai rains have been giving the residents the typical Monsoon treatment for quite some time now. So much so that the maximum city has been witnessing good rains for the past few days.
In fact, on the first day of the month, the city recorded a whopping 93 mm of rain giving the residents waterlogging troubles along with traffic snarls.
The day before also, the city recorded a few good spells of rain with the Santa Cruz observatory recording a good 49 mm of rainfall. However, the rainfall intensity has taken a sluggish road with only moderate showers occurring over some parts of the city.
In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, the Santa Cruz observatory recorded 18 mm of rain, while Colaba recorded light rains of 4 mm.
These weather conditions have been attributed to the presence of an off shore trough which is running from the Gujarat region up to the Kerala coast along the West Coast.
