The city of Mumbai has been seeing good Monsoon rains since the last few days. Moreover, during the last 24 hours from 8:30 AM on Wednesday, the city of Mumbai recorded 69 mm of rainfall taking the total this month to 357 mm.
Today also, Mumbai is expected to see some heavy rainfall activity and the showers are likely to continue tomorrow as well as the day after tomorrow. Thus, Mumbai will see three days of heavy rains with the rain intensity peaking tomorrow. This means, rains will be heftier tomorrow as compared to today. On July 8, rains will be heavy but not as heavy as tomorrow.
These rains are attributed to the off shore trough which is active along the West Coast. Also, a Circulation in the Bay of Bengal will move inland, which will active the Monsoon surge all the more over Mumbai.
Thereafter, around July 9, rains are expected to ease out a little bit resulting in some relief from heavy showers.
