Mumbai rains have once again made a comeback and this time with a bang. While Ganesh Chaturthi began on a rainy note, since then rain Gods have decided to stay over Mumbai for at least a while.
These showers were fine for a while but they have become a problem for the entire city now. Relentless rainfall activity has been going on for the past 24 hours and they don't seem to stop even now.
So much so that Colaba recorded 152 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours paving way for more hours today. Santa Cruz at 88 mm was also not far behind with very heavy rains.
The worst sufferers here are the residents who have been struggling in traffic and almost waterlogged roads. Mumbai local has also been sluggish as water logging has been reported in many stations. Most areas continue to be jammed due to traffic and areas including Dadar Circle, Hind Mata and Gandhi Market are said to have been waterlogged.

Not only this, its Diwali for Uber drivers as surge pricing knows no bounds since fat raindrops continue to pour throughout the dazzling City of Mumbai. Thus, some of the residents decided to stay at home and save themselves from the misery of battling with traffic for hours to come.

If you are thinking that the worst is over, you are wrong my friend. In fact, the next 24 hours are expected to be all the worse for the city of Mumbai. More heavy to very heavy showers will lash the city of Dreams causing Chaos and reminding residents of the 2005 floods which took place in July.
The next 24-48 hours in Mumbai will be full of heavy rainfall, traffic snarls, waterlogged roads, and late locals. The city that never sleeps or stops will come to a halt for at least some time hefty rains will make way.
