The city of Mumbai has not seen heavy to very heavy rains for the past many days. It has only been a couple of occasions in the past 15 days or so where in the city saw some heavy showers.
However, things are about to change and heavy showers are all set to make an appearance over the capital city of Maharashtra. The cyclonic circulation which was over Kerala has been making an upward journey moving towards Karnataka coast and is now moving upwards over Konkan and Goa region. A trough is also running along the coast resulting in rains over Mumbai.
Rainy week is in store for the city of Mumbai with moderate showers to begin with. Both today and tomorrow, moderate rains are expected in parts of Mumbai and adjoining with one odd heavy showers.
By September 10, situation for heavy rain may start to build up with heavy to very heavy rains expected around September 11 and 12 where is the possibility of three digit rainfall is quite likely. September 13 onward, gradual reduction will be seen in rainfall each day, but some showers will continue to be seen.
