During the last 24 hours, vigorous Monsoon conditions were seen over Telangana and its capital city, Hyderabad. Thus, several places such as Medak, Hanamkonda, Ramagundam and Nizamabad have been witnessing good Monsoon showers. Hence, comfortable weather conditions were persisting over Telangana as well as over Hyderabad.

In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, the state capital recorded heavy rainfall of 114 mm, Nizamabad 75 mm, Hanamkonda 25 mm and Ramagundam 0.8 mm.

These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen persisting over Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas. Also, the axis of Monsoon trough is seen running close to North of Telangana.

Due to these weather systems, moderate rain with one or two heavy spells of rain is expected to occur at northern parts of Telangana as well as over Hyderabad during the next 24 to 48 hours. Whereas, southern districts of Telangana will continue to settle with scattered light showers.
