Rain in LucknowMonsoon rains have remained confined to East and Northeast India since last one week. Particularly, northwestern plains have remained dry, leading to warm weather conditions.

Now, the good news is that rains are all set to make a comeback soon, but the bad news is that this would be last spell of this Monsoon season.

According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance would be approaching Western Himalayas around September 22. Simultaneously, the low pressure area brewing in North Bay of Bengal would also reach central parts of the country, though as a weakened system. A trough would form North Madhya Pradesh to Uttarakhand.

Both the weather systems would be interacting with each other, giving widespread rain and thundershowers over hills as well as the plains of Northwest India between September 23-26. Many parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi-NCR, West Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas of East Rajasthan would see fairly widespread heavy rains.

Uttar Pradesh: Several districts of west and central Uttar Pradesh can get heavy to very heavy rain and thundershowers between September 24-26.
