Heavy Bengaluru rains pay a visit, more showers expected

Bengaluru rains have been playing enough games already. The capital city of Karnataka has been witnessing good rains. In fact, despite the end of the four-month long Southwest Monsoon season, rain gods have not shied away from causing a few good-spells of rain and thundershowers over the Garden City.

In fact, the last 24 hours were all the rainier for the IT Hub of India wherein the city did record heavy rains. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Bengaluru recorded a whopping 68 mm of rainfall. These rains were not only intense but also widespread in nature as reiterated by Skymet Weather.

These rainfall activities have been occurring due to a cyclonic circulation which is over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal. A trough is extending from this system up to South Interior Karnataka across Tamil Nadu. Therefore, both Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka have been witnessing good showers.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, for at least next 48 hours, chances of moderate to heavy showers are foreseen in the city. In fact, the possibility of a few heavy spells also cannot be ruled out in the city of Bengaluru.

Due to these rainfall activities, temperatures will also remain on the lower side. In fact, while the maximum temperatures will settle on the lower side. So much so that the maximums will remain in the higher 20s while the minimums will settle around 20-degrees.
