Heatwave to tighten its grip over Vidarbha, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh

Most parts of Central India including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha have been experiencing hot weather conditions since last many days. The temperatures over many places of these states have also been crossing 40 degrees.

Yesterday, Chandrapur recorded its maximum temperature at 44.6°C, followed by Akola 44.1°C, Wardha 44.0°C, Medininagar 43.5°C, Khajuraho 43.5°C, Nagpur 43.2°C, Amravati, Nowgong and Varanasi recorded 43.0°C.

Thus, we can say that, heatwave like conditions have already developed over parts of Vidarbha.

Although normal temperatures, during this time of the year are very high for these places. But still we can see that the temperatures of these areas are above normal by a couple of degrees.

However, now we expect dry weather conditions to continue for next few days over all these areas.

Moreover, westerly and northwesterly hot winds will blow over Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, leading to further increase in temperatures. So, we can say that isolated pockets of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh may experience heatwave conditions while others will continue to scorch with above normal maximums.

Weather is going to become very warm and sunny in the coming days leading to a lot of discomfort for the people living in parts of Central India.

Therefore, we can say that dry weather, clear sky and bright sunshine is expected to maintain its grip over many parts of Central India. Along with this, heatwave will tighten its grip over these areas.
