Heatwave to intensify in Rajasthan, no respite likely

Like Gujarat, the desert state Rajasthan is also witnessing hot weather conditions from last many days. The heatwave has gripped most parts of the northwest and central parts of the country and Rajasthan is also following the suit.

Most parts of the state are reeling under heatwave conditions which are making the weather across the state hot and uncomfortable. Many districts of the state have seen the temperature shooting up and above the 40-degree mark with a few even surpassing the same.

As per Skymet Weather, the reason for Rajasthan’s hot and sizzling weather is related to the warm north-northeasterly winds that are blowing over the desert state from the Sindh and Baluchistan region in Pakistan. As Pakistan is itself witnessing rising mercury levels, hence its impact on Rajasthan.

Though wind profile is likely to change and many parts of West Rajasthan may encounter westerly and southwesterly winds but still these winds will be coming from the already heated South Sindh and Baluchistan region in Pakistan. Therefore, not much changes in the temperatures profile are expected.

In fact, the sad news is that temperatures are expected to rise further and no relief from the prevailing hot weather is expected as of now. Heatwave will prevail in most parts of Rajasthan but isolated pockets of the state are likely to observe severe heatwave conditions.
