While there are areas in the country which are observing rainfall activities due to pre-Monsoon season prevailing in the Indian region, there are some areas which have been observing intense heat for the past few days.

Central parts of the country in particular have been recording sky high maximum temperatures for quite a long time now. In fact, there have been some areas which are even witnessing mercury levels very close to or even beyond the 45-degree mark.
The reason for such high temperatures over Central India including South Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and a few pockets of Vidarbha are attributed to the westerly north westerly winds blowing from Pakistan region where temperatures are already very high. These areas have already been witnessing heatwave conditions and more such activity is expected.
Tomorrow, maximum temperatures are expected to increase marginally which is likely to cause heat wave in a few pockets of Rajasthan West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
Cities of Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Ajmer and Bundi in Rajasthan will witness heatwave conditions.
Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region, the cities of Damoh, Satna, Khargone, Bhopal, Akola, Amravati, Chandrapur, Bramhapuri and Yavatmal will remain under intense heatwave conditions.
