Heatwave to grip Khargone, Akola, Amravati, Hoshangabad, Wardha and Chandrapur

Heatwave to abate India 1

With mainly clear sky, this is the period when sun is heating most parts of Maharashtra, Telangana and South Madhya Pradesh region.

In fact, in the absence of any significant weather system, temperatures especially the maximums are rising continuously over parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Yesterday, Khargone recorded its maximum temperature at 44.5˚C, followed by Akola 43.6˚C, Wardha 43.4˚C, Nagpur 43.3˚C, Amravati 43.2˚C, Parbhani 43.2˚C, Chandrapur 43.1˚C and Jalgaon 42.6˚C.

Further also, pockets of Vidarbha and South Madhya Pradesh will continue to witness heatwave like conditions. In fact, more places would come under the ambit of extreme heat and will record maximum temperature around 44˚C. Places like Khargone, Akola, Amravati, Hoshangabad, Wardha and Chandrapur would observe heatwave condition.

Talking about our financial capital, Mumbai, due to the prevalence of northwesterly winds, day temperatures of the city will settle between 29˚C and 31˚C. April 3 onwards, once again winds will change direction and temperatures will increase.
