Heatwave tightens its grip over Central India

There is no denying of the fact that most parts of India are under reeling deadly heatwave. Temperatures over many areas have crossed the threshold of normalcy and are recorded 4-5 degrees above normal.

Many stations in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have recorded temperatures more than 40 degrees mark for a long time. And similar stride of weather can be expected to continue for the time being.

Heatwave conditions are likely to be witnessed at one or two places over Gujarat. This weather condition is likely to be witnessed for 2-3 days. Similar weather conditions can be witnessed over Telangana and Chhattisgarh, but more areas will be under its grip.

But the most affected region of central India is Madhya Pradesh. Most places over the states are witnessing heatwave conditions. Temperatures are recorded well over 44-45 degrees mark making daily life miserable. The next area to hit the most is the Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra region.

Severe heatwave conditions were recorded over West Rajasthan where the temperatures have crossed 46 degrees.

Slightly south of Central India, Telangana is also witnessing heatwave conditions with temperatures touching 42-43 degrees mark in many areas.
