Heatwave sweeps India, West Bengal and Odisha worst affected

April 2016 is turning out to be hottest month on record, with mercury soaring above the average temperatures over most parts of the country.

Moreover, weathermen at Skyemet Weather have indicated that no relief is in offing for at least next 2-3 days from blazing heatwave.

Heatwave, which is usually prone to Central and Interior Peninsular India, has extended to almost entire country this year. So much is the reach that the heat ambit has not even spared parts of hilly state of Himachal Pradesh.

At 45.7, Titalagarh in Odisha recorded highest maximum temperature in the country. Parts of Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand are the most affected region at present.

Day temperatures are also appreciably above normal over Telangana, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.

Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing one of the highest maximum temperatures in span of three years.

Maximum temperatures have been surpassing 40°C for consecutive days and are peaking up to 45°C regularly.
