Delhi hot days

Uttar Pradesh had been reeling under warm and dry weather for the past few days. However, the dry spell took a backseat during the past day. As per Skymet Weather, scattered dust storm and thundershower occurred over the western parts of the state. In fact, isolated activity was observed over the eastern parts. Districts such as Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly and Fursatganj recorded very light rain in the last 24 hours from 8:30 on Monday.

These weather activities occurred due to the cyclonic circulation which was prevailing over Northeast Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana. In fact, the trough which was extending from this circulation to West and Central Uttar Pradesh can be held responsible.

As per weathermen, the weather is expected to become completely dry over most parts of the states. Moreover, dry weather will prevail during the next two to three days. However, dry spell may once again end around April 20 or April 21 as isolated weather activity is likely over Northwest Uttar Pradesh.

Currently, the temperatures over most parts of the state are near normal or marginally above normal. However, we expect the day temperatures to rise gradually over the state. In fact, many districts of the state may also experience day temperatures at 40°C or above.

Moreover, heatwave like condition is also expected to grip parts of East and West Uttar Pradesh in coming days. Districts such as Varanasi, Hamirpur, Agra, Kanpur, and Lucknow are expected to observe hot and uneasy weather conditions during the next 24 to 48 hours. Temperatures are already touching 40°C mark in these regions and are now expected to cross 40°C mark.
