Heatwave in Gwalior, Tikamgarh, rain in Bilaspur, Mandla

Madhya Pradesh is experiencing contrasting weather conditions these days. Most parts of Madhya Pradesh are reeling under hot and dry weather conditions. In fact, heatwave has also gripped West and Central parts of Madhya Pradesh where the temperatures are 45°C or more.

However, southeastern parts of the state have been recording on and off pre Monsoon activities in the form of light thundershowers or thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh is also witnessing very warm weather conditions. However, occasional thundershower activities are providing some comfort to the residents. Sky conditions are also partly cloudy to cloudy in the state.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from East Uttar Pradesh to Southern Peninsula across East Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, humidity is also increasing over Chhattisgarh. Thus, on and off rains are likely to continue over many parts of Rajnandgaon, Durg, and Jagdalpur. Isolated rains over Bilaspur and Pendra Road cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, Chhindhwara, Mandla, Seoni, and Narsinghpur may receive light rain or thunderstorm activity during the next 24 hours.

Heatwave will persist in parts of Madhya Pradesh such as Sheopur, Gwalior, Datia, Nowgong, Tikamgarh, Khajuraho, Damoh, Shajapur, and Khargone. In fact, cities such as Indore, Ujjain, and Bhopal will also observe hot weather conditions. The day maximums would settle above 40°C in these regions as well.
