After Gujarat, heatwave grips more parts of the country, temperatures over 40 degrees

Extreme heatwave conditions were observed in the first half of March, over many parts, particularly over the southern pockets including Interior Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema.

On the other hand, heatwave spared the central parts, particularly Gujarat which see high temperatures during this time. On the other hand, North India enjoyed good weather conditions, all thanks to the frequent appearance of Western Disturbances and their induced systems.

However, third week onward, a change in weather conditions was seen. Central India saw rising temperatures. North India also saw an increase in temperatures to quite an extent. Moreover, in the last two days, many areas saw temperatures over 40 degrees.

Yesterday, South Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, South Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Interior Tamil Nadu observed maximums over 40 degrees. In fact, heatwave conditions were seen over Gujarat and parts of Maharashtra. Today, heatwave gripped parts of Madhya Pradesh also with Khargone rceording maximum at 44.5 degrees.

The only pockets which were spared from these conditions were Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Today, similar situation will be seen and tomorrow also weather conditions will be hot over many parts.

Some bit of rain will be seen in Madhya Pradesh, northern plains including Delhi later in the day tomorrow but by the time these rains are seen, temperatures will already have increased.

Rains will be patchy in nature due to which Sunday will again see rise in temperatures resulting in hot weather conditions.
