Heat wave conditions remain limited as most parts of the country are seeing maximums below the normal levels or close to it. However, it is the eastern parts including the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, which are seeing higher maximums due to the absence of any weather system. Nevertheless, they remain suppressed and limited to some parts only.

For instance, yesterday, Durg recorded its maximum at 42.4 degrees, Rajnandgaon 43.5 degrees, Raipur 42 dgerees, Purnea 41.5 degrees, Patna 41.8 degrees, Malda 40.2 degrees, Purulia is 41.3 degrees, all these regions are observing maximums 5-6 degrees above the normal levels. No system likely and conditions will continue for these areas in a similar fashion.

No system is travelling towards the eastern parts which is why temperatures are in the 40s. On the other hand, Northwest India as well as parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan are witnessing comfortable weather conditions when usually maximums are above 40° over these areas during this time. Even when rainfall activity reduces, we do not expect to make a comeback over these areas anytime Soon.
