Kurnool, Hyderabad and Tirupathi baking under 40 degrees Celsius heat

Since the past few days, a trough is extending from Karnataka up to Tamil Nadu across Kerala due to which the areas of Karnataka and Kerala are witnessing thunderclouds towards afternoon or late evening with strong spells and squally winds.

At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is lying over South Madhya Maharashtra and its adjoining areas. And a trough is seen extending from Vidarbha up to Tamil Nadu across Karnataka and Kerala. Hence, isolated thunderstorm activities are possible in parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and in extreme pockets of South Tamil Nadu.

Srikakulum, Bengaluru, Gadag, Vijayapura would witness isolated thunderstorm and rain towards late afternoon. While, places like Kalaburgi, Kurnool, Hanamkonda, Hyderabad, Ramagundam, Anantapur and Tirupathi have been recording temperatures of 40°C. This trend is expected to continue in the region for next couple of days.

Thunderclouds are expected to develop around late afternoon or evening hours during this period. The rain and thundershower activities will be of short duration and confined to some pockets. According to experts, temperatures would continue to remain above normal over most places of the region. North Telangana, North Karnataka and Rayalaseema would continue to witness heatwave like conditions while other parts of the states will continue to witness above normal temperatures. Mainly humid and uneasy conditions would be seen along the coastal stations. While, morning and night time would be breezy.
