Heatwave abates from North and West India

Heatwave has abated from North and West India but Central, East and parts of south India still continue to reel under extremely hot weather.

Heatwave is now only confined to parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and extreme parts of west Rajasthan.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, there is no relief expected during next 48 hours in East and Central India as well. However, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh may get marginal relief in the form of thundershower activities but temperatures will still settle on the higher side.

Meanwhile, Western Disturbance over the hills and induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining region will be giving scattered rain along with dust storm and thunder showers activities over the plains of Northwest India from Monday evening onwards.

As per the forecast by Skymet, this weather activity will continue till June 4. In wake of this, maximum temperatures will register a drop but will once again crawl back to the normal thereafter.
