Many parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, South Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh have been experiencing heat wave conditions since the last many days.

Now heat wave like conditions have extended in many more parts of the country. In fact, parts of Rajasthan such as Churu, Bikaner and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh like Varanasi have also come under the grip of heat wave.

Along with these isolated pockets of Jharkhand are also witnessing extremely hot weather conditions with high day temperatures. Surprisingly, temperatures in few parts of Telangana have reached almost 47 degree Celsius or more. Now we expect heat wave conditions to extend its grip further in many more parts of India.

Yesterday, Ramagundam recorded its maximum temperature at 47.2˚C, followed by Brahmapuri and Nagpur at 46.7˚C, Wardha 46.5˚C, Chandrapur 46.4˚C, Parbhani 46.1˚C and Adilabad 45.8˚C.

Few more parts of Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha will come under heat wave like condition during the next two to three days in the absence of any significant weather system.

Due to the flow of dry and warm northwesterly winds, all these areas will witness very high maximum temperatures. Further bright sunshine and clear sky will help in adding more heat in these areas.
