This pre-Monsoon season turned out good for the state of Madhya Pradesh. At present, rainfall in West Madhya Pradesh is excess by 36% and East Madhya Pradesh is experiencing a surplus of 10%. On and off rains continued over the state throughout the season leading to surplus rainfall.
But since the last few days, weather conditions have become dry. Due to dry weather and clear skies, heat wave conditions have made a comeback in many parts of the state. Temperature in East Madhya Pradesh is settling above 45°C or more at many places.
Although isolated light rains were recorded recently in the northern districts of the state, temperatures still continue to remain above normal in most of the places.
Now, we expect isolated light rains in the northern districts of Madhya Pradesh such as Gwalior, Morena, Datia. But the weather in the remaining districts of the state will continue to be dry and hot. Moreover, hot and dry winds from the West and Northwest direction will continue to blow in most parts of the state. Therefore, we do not expect any major relief from the ongoing hot weather conditions.
Thereafter, the heat wave conditions are going to cover some more parts of the state leading to very uneasy and hot weather. In fact, the weather is expected to remain dry for the remaining part of May and first week of June.
