During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities occurred over many places in Telangana including Hyderabad.
These pre-Monsoon weather activities occurred in association with a trough which was extending from South Jharkhand to Comorin area across parts of Telangana. Moreover, humid winds from the Bay of Bengal are continuously feeding moisture to Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Today, we expect on and off rain and thundershower activities to continue over parts of Telangana. However, from June 5 the intensity of these rains will reduce to some extent with only isolated rains being observed.
Many parts of Telangana have been witnessing heat wave conditions for a while. But due to these rains, the uncomfortably hot temperatures will subside over several parts of Telangana leading to abatement of heat wave conditions.
After two days, that is June 7 onward the temperatures in the state are expected to start rising again due to the return of dry weather conditions.
The onset of Monsoon will get delayed over Telangana by approximately four to five days due to delayed onset of Southwest Monsoon over Kerala and its slow progress.
