Heat wave conditions had taken a backseat over both the states of Rajasthan as well as Gujarat during the last few days. However, now temperatures have once again started to soar significantly over both western parts of Rajasthan as well as many areas in Gujarat.
Western parts of Rajasthan have recorded maximum temperatures above the 40° mark in many areas including the cities of Barmer 41.9°C, Jaisalmer 41.6°C, Phalodi 41.6°C, Bikaner 41.1°C, Sri Ganganagar 41.7°C, and Jodhpur 40.6 °C.
Heat wave is still sparing the eastern parts where temperatures in the range of 39-40 degrees.
As far as the state of Gujarat is concerned, many parts have witnessed temperatures above 40 degrees which have been at least 5 to 7 degrees above the normal levels including Bhuj 41.6°C, Kandla 42.6°C, Rajkot 42.3°C, Amreli 42.2,°C Keshod 41.2°C and Ahmedabad 41.3°C.
Similar Conditions are expected to prevail at least for the next few days over the western parts of Rajasthan as well as many areas in Gujarat. Thus, heat wave is expected to continue over these areas.
