However, there has been intense weather activities for the last two days in many parts of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi NCR and others.
Due to this, now, practically, no heat wave conditions have been persisting due to prolonged activity in all these regions.
Meanwhile, a new pocket has come up in the heat wave list, which is the state of Odisha. The state is vulnerable to heat waves quite early and even the month of February sees sky high maximums. This time, no heat wave was seen throughout the season.
However, yesterday, Bhubaneswar recorded its maximum at 43.7 degrees Celsius which happens to be the highest of the season. Angul saw maximum at 42.7 degrees, Cuttack 41.1 degrees. Some parts of Jharkhand are also seeing maximums between 40-41 degrees Celsius.
As per Skymet, north and central parts of the country will not see heat wave conditions for the next 3 to 4 days. Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh will take three days to see heat wave conditions. Meanwhile, heat quotient will remain high for Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining areas.
