Heat pockets shifts to Vidarbha, parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Akola clocks 44 degrees

Heat wave conditions have been affecting many parts of North as well as Central India. Many places in these areas have been witnessing maximums above the 40 degree mark and at least 4 to 5 degrees above the normal levels.

One such region that has been observing extremely high maximums is Akola in Vidarbha, which witnessed 44 degrees Celsius, the day before, and Akola 44.1 degrees yesterday. Akola happens to be the only station in Vidarbha to have clocked 44 degrees so far.

The heat is now spreading to neighbouring areas as well including Jalgaon that recorded 43.5 degrees, and Khargone 43.5 degrees, Rajgarh 42.6 degrees, Khandwa 42.5 degrees, Wardha 42.2 degrees, Washim 42.5 degrees.

Thus, the heat pocket has now shifted to Vidarbha and other parts of Maharashtra as well as a few areas in Madhya Pradesh. These temperatures are expected to continue for some more time, and heat wave will be seen in some of these pockets.
