The state of Rajasthan has been experiencing temperatures in excess of 40 degrees for many days in many places. Heatwave conditions were prevailing over West Rajasthan for the last few days. In the past 24 hours, few locations have breached the mark of 45 degrees. The highest maximum temperature of 45.4 degrees was recorded at Churu. Kota and Phalodi closely followed and recorded 45 degrees each, the highest of this season so far.
These temperatures are not likely to exceed further for the time being. The region can expect some dust storms or thunderstorms accompanied with patchy showers over the next 02 days. The weather activity will remain confined to North and Eastern parts of the state and later extend to the Western parts on 14th & 15th May.
