In the last 24 hours, weather over the Northwestern Plains of India remained almost dry. However, a few locations such as that of Bikaner in Rajasthan and Bareilly in West Uttar Pradesh received light rainfall.
Now, there is no active weather system over Northwest India. Moreover, winds have also changed direction and now dry and hot winds are blowing from Northwest direction. These dry winds are set to blow over the region until June 29.
From June 30 onward we expect isolated thundershower and rains to commence once again over multiple parts of Punjab, Haryana and at one or two places over Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
On July 1 and 2, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi may receive light to moderate rains. These on and off rain activities may continue until July 4 as a Trough is expected to form from Punjab to East Uttar Pradesh across Haryana.
Rain activities are expected to increase on July 5 and 6 over the entire Northwest Plains. During that time, we expect light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells which may mark the onset on Monsoon over West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and parts of Haryana.
