The state of Rajasthan has seen good rains in the last 24 hours. In fact, tennis ball-sized hailstorm has been reported in parts of the state. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Sikar recorded 39 mm of rains, Ajmer 35 mm, Bikaner 26 mm, Jaipur 21 mm. It was only the border posts of Jaisalmer and Barmer that did not receive rainfall.
Today also, we expect rain and thunderstorm wherein only north and eastern parts will see Pre Monsoon activities. Extreme western and southern parts may not see rains. Northern parts including Suratgarh, Hanumangarh, Anupgarh and adjoining areas are prone to hailstorm activities as well.
There is likely to be a break tomorrow with a reduction in rain to some extent i.e. on May 26 and 27. However, from May 28 onward, rains will make an appearance with full force again and the spread will be more this time.
