The northern parts of Madhya Pradesh witnessed dust storm activity and light spell of thundershowers during the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, southern parts of the state remained dry and hot with heat wave like condition in few pockets. Pachmarhi and Rewa recorded 1 mm of rain.

These weather activities occurred over the state due to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over parts of Rajasthan in association with an active Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir.

Now the frequencies of these Western Disturbance and their induced cyclonic circulations will increase during the next four to five days. hence, northern and northwestern parts of the state will be under the grip of pre-Monsoon weather activities.

Places like Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Datia, Shivpuri, Newari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Satna, Sidhi, Guna and Neemuch will witness dust storm followed by rain and thundershowers during the next 4 to 5 days.

In fact, the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh may observe spell of isolated light rain and thundershower activity with string winds during the same period. However, southern parts will remain dry and hot.

Heat wave conditions will abate from most parts but still places like Khargone, Dhar, Indore, Barwani and Khandwa may record very high day temperatures.

But day temperatures will decrease over rest all parts of Madhya Pradesh, in the wake of continuous weather activities.
