East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh are likely to record some rain and thundershowers on Monday. In fact, parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have already witnessed light to very light rains during the last 24 hours.

Further, weathermen are predicting that condition would remain conducive for some more rains and thundershowers today. Rain bearing clouds have been hovering over the region since morning. In fact, few places have already started observing thundershowers.
We can expect light to moderate rain and thundershowers to continue but these showers would be of shorter time span. Few places might see gusty winds with isolated hailstorm. Farmers are also likely to be on alert these unseasonal showers may cause damage to the standing crop.
Places like Balrampur, Bilaspur, Jashpur, Kabeerdham, Korba, Koriya, Mungeli, Raigarh, Surajpur, Surguja, Anuppur, Balaghat, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Mandla, Rewa, Satna, Seoni, Shahdol, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Mirzapur may see rain during the next 24 hours.
According to Skymet Weather, these spells rains are because of the formation of the wind confluence zone over the region, due to the amalgamation of warm northwesterly winds with humid southwesterly winds.
However, the system is likely to dissipate by tomorrow, resulting in gradual return of clear weather conditions by tomorrow evening.
