The tale of hot weather and rising temperatures has remained well known now. Several parts of the country were witnessing heatwave conditions wherein the day temperatures were shooting up and settling close to or above the 40-degree mark.
The rising temperatures mainly affected the central and northwestern parts of the country including Gujarat. But the trend has changed and the temperature over the state is now witnessing a sheer fall in the day temperatures.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is expected to form at a higher level over Gujarat and adjoining North Maharashtra. We are likely to expect scattered rain and thundershower activities over South Gujarat during May 6 and 7.
As per Skymet Weather, this condition can be attributed to the change in wind pattern. These winds will start blowing from the western region from the Arabian Sea which will be relatively cool in nature. Thus, many places like Surat, Valsad, and Bhavnagar will record scattered light rains in the upcoming week. Intense heatwave conditions which had been wreaking havoc over the region will not make a comeback.
Moreover, intense heatwave conditions are not expected to commence over South Gujarat for the next few days.
