Gujarat to reel under hot weather, no relief likely

The state of Gujarat is experiencing extremely high temperatures. Both the maximum and minimum temperatures are settling above the normal levels. In the interior districts such as Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Amreli, and Surat, the day maximums are settling above 40°C mark or more.

The variation between the normal and actual temperature is only of 1°C to 2°C. With the temperatures exceeding 40°C mark, the discomfort has also increased.

Meanwhile, in the coastal districts, the temperatures are settling in mid-30s. However, with increased humidity, feel like temperatures are more than the actual.

As per Skymet Weather, the temperatures in the adjacent country Pakistan are soaring extremely high and are settling between 40°C to 46°C. The hot winds are blowing over Pakistan are travelling to Gujarat. Henceforth, the temperatures in the state of Gujarat are so high.

Moreover, during the pre-Monsoon season, Gujarat is one state where rain and thundershower activity is not very common. Therefore, the due to the accumulative effect of hot winds and continuous dry spell, Gujarat will continue to witness hot weather.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures which are ranging between 24°C and 26°C across the state will continue to settle in the same range.

No relief is in the forecast for the residents of Gujarat as pre-Monsoon activity is not in the forecast.
