Gujarat rains

Monsoon has revived yet again in many parts of Gujarat. The Gujarat region, in particular, has received fairly widespread rain and thundershower activities in a span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on Tuesday. Some prominent cities in Gujarat such as Baroda, Surat, Ahmedabad, Veraval have received good rains during this period. For instance, Barodarecorded a heavy downpour of 52 mm during the 24 hours span.

Today also we expectgood rains and thundershowers to continuein many parts of Gujarat.

By tomorrow, the intensity of rain may go down. However, the northern districts of Gujarat like Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Bhuj, Naliya, Dwarka, Porbandar as well as the Kutch and Saurashtra region may receive light to moderate rains and thundershowers. This activity is likely to continue until August 29. Thereafter, the weather is likely to become almost dry. However, isolated light rains and localized weather activities cannot be ruled out.

This recent weather activity was one good rainy spell over the state after a prolonged dry spell. Another weather system is expected to arrive over the state around September 4 and 5. During that period, fairlywidespread rain and thundershowerwill once again commence in the region.

So, we can say that there is good rain in Gujarat until the second week of September.
