The state of Gujarat has seen some decent rainfall activity during this season in the month of March. Normally, the region remains free from any weather activity. The state is placed safely at a spot where it is away from the northern plains also and is also away from any activity over the southern parts.

Even the monthly average for March stands at less than 1 mm for Gujarat. In fact, from March 1 to 23, the monthly average stands at 0.2 mm only. However, if this particular year is to be taken into account, the state has seen very good rains with being the rainiest.

Both Saurashtra and Kutch as well as Gujarat region has seen good rains. Gujarat region has recorded 10.2 mm of rains against 0.2 mm, making it massively excess and Saurashtra and Kutch have seen 14.3 mm against the same normal of 0.2 mm.

During the past 24 hours also, many parts of Gujarat have rained but now rainfall activity is expected to cease and fair weather is expected for the next five days or so. As far as temperatures are concerned, we may see some rise in the maximums.

Generally, the state of Gujarat remains very hot with temperatures being very high because of the proximity of Tropic of Cancer. Moreover, March is supposed to be the hottest and maximums even reach in the 40s.
