As of now, both the Gujarat region along with Saurashtra and Kutch are surplus by 16% and 18%, respectively. However, since the last few days, rain activities have subsided over Gujarat.
For the last five days, the weather was nearly dry over Gujarat and now due to a Cyclonic Circulation over the Northeast Arabian sea along with a Low-Pressure Area over Madhya Pradesh, rains are expected to increase over Gujarat.
In the last 24 hours, Ahmedabad and Vadodara received light rains, while moderate spells were seen over Sabarkantha and its adjoining areas.
The experts have to say that today rains will be seen over Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Bharuch, Surat, Palampur, Sabarkantha and gradually the rain activities will cover Bhuj, Surendranagar, Rajkot, and Jamnagar by tomorrow. All these places are likely to witness light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells.
Now we can say that these intermittent rain activities will be seen in Gujarat until August 28. These rainfall activities will be more over the central and northern districts of the state. Whereas, the southern districts will see fewer rains in comparison to other divisions of the state. Over here the activities will be light in nature with one or two moderate spells.
By this, we understand that Monsoon will once again revive here but will be for a short duration only.
