‘Last but not the least’ is very well proved by Monsoon rains in Gujarat. The state received Monsoon rains after every state in the country but now Gujarat is one of the many regions that have been getting good rains from multiple weather systems.
A low pressure area is over East Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. Another weather system that has been affecting the region is an associated upper air cyclonic circulation is at mid-tropospheric level. The third weather system as an off-shore trough from Gujarat coast to Konkan & Goa.
The affect from the multiple weather systems are responsible for good rains over Saurashtra and Kutch. Since last couple of days Gujarat is receiving good rains. But these rains will decrease gradually as the system has moved in a northern direction and presently lying over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas.
Rainfall figures in the last 24 hours from 08:30 AM on Tuesday are: Anand 28.9 mm, Dangs 75 mm, Navsari 57.7 mm, Tapi 36.8 mm, Valsad 53.3 mm and Sabar Kantha received 30.5 mm of rains.
However, light rain will continue in parts of East Gujarat including Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad has received heavy spells of 52 mm in the span of 6 hours, from 08:30 AM in the morning till 02:30 PM. And people showed their love for the rain on Twitter, check out some of the tweets:
