Gujarat normally is supposed to be dry in the pre Monsoon months including March, April as well as May. In fact, rains are usually seen when one is very close to the Monsoon arrival. However, this year has been different with weather activity seen in March as well which was unseasonal.
Thus, temperatures which were rising exponentially in the first half of March, remained in check in the second half due to these weather activities. Now, with no rains in the past few days, temperatures are rising once again. Cities of Gandhinagar, Amreli, Vadodara, Rajkot, Deesa are on the rise in terms of maximums.
We expect rains once again over parts of the state of Gujarat including Central Gujarat, South Gujarat and coastal parts of Saurashtra. Thus, cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Veraval, Mahuva, Kandla, Gandhinagar, Anand, Valsad, Navsari etc. will see rains. Rains will not be seen in interior parts or northern regions.
Madhya Maharashtra will also see rains including Pune, Nashik, Sangli, Satara, Nandurbar, Jalgaon etc. Rains will be seen between April 13 and 15 over both Gujarat as well as Madhya Maharashtra. In fact, rains may be slightly longer over Madhya Maharashtra.
