The state of Gujarat has been seeing temperatures in the 40s with the club of 40s being confined over these areas.

A large chunk of the state is observing maximum temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius including Rajkot at 40.5 degrees, Junagarah at 40.5 degrees, Patan at 41.5 degrees, Suranednranagar at 41.4 degrees, Amreli at 40.8 degrees, Bhuj 41.2 degrees. Moreover, the capital city is less than 40 but close to it.

However, as far as a heat wave is concerned, it does remain far away from the state of Gujarat as the normal maximums are around 40 degrees only.

Conditions may ease out and temperatures will reduce because of rainfall activity expected over the state starting April 27 when isolated activity may be seen. From April 28 onward, one can expect good rains over many parts of Gujarat, which will be a week-long activity lasting until May 3.
