Gorakhpur, Agra, Aligarh to get more rains today; Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahabad in next 24 hrs

India’s one of the largest state Uttar Pradesh has been receiving varied weather conditions throughout the state. All thanks to the trough, presently extending from Punjab to Northwest Bay of Bengal across Uttar Pradesh.

In the next 24 to 48 hours, the western parts of the state are likely to witness good weather conditions. Cities like Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Agra, and Bareilly may receive rain and thundershowers with squally winds. These weather activities will reduce the day temperatures leading to pleasant weather conditions.

Meanwhile, foothills of Uttar Pradesh have been receiving pre-Monsoon showers and cities like Gorakhpur, Rampur, and Bahraich will continue receiving rain and thundershower activities for another 24-48 hours. Temperatures across these cities is most likely to settle below 35°C.

The central parts of the state have not received much weather activities and hot weather prevails across the central Uttar Pradesh. Though, cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, and Allahabad may witness some thundershowers but chances are bleak.

Similarly, East Uttar Pradesh which includes cities like Ballia, Azamgarh, and Varanasi are witnessing dry weather conditions but isolated thunder activities may give some relief.

Monsoon is likely to make an onset around the third week of June, thereafter rains will increase both in terms of spread and intensity.

In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Thursday east and west parts of the state received heavy rainfall. Gorakhpur received 49.6 mm rainfall, Aligarh 43.8 mm while most parts of central Uttar Pradesh remained dry.
