At present, there are two weather systems affecting the climatic conditions of Rajasthan. One cyclonic circulation which is over central Uttar Pradesh. There is another feeble cyclonic circulation that persists over Gujarat region.
Moreover, a trough is extending from these two systems across East Rajasthan. Due to this, moderate to heavy rains are expected over East and southeast region of the state. However, intensity of rain will be much more over southeast Rajasthan.
Good rains have occurred over the state during last 24 hours and these rains are expected to lash the state for another two days. Few heavy to extremely heavy spells are also likely over the region.
Following stations of Rajasthan have received rains during last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday:
But, as West Rajasthan has been observing subdued rains since last many days, possibility is that it will continue to remain on the lower side only.
Currently, East Rajasthan stands at a rain surplus of 34 percent while, West Rajasthan is observing 15 percent lesser rains than its normal.
As per Skymet Weather, East Rajasthan particularly, Pratapgarh, Pali, Jhalawar, Udaipur and Bundi are expected to continue with good showers for another 48 hours. On the contrary, the western region of the state may remain dry for a next few days.
