Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are expected to witness good Monsoon showers during next few days. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal off the South Odisha and North Andhra coast will be affecting the weather over both the states.
Neighbouring states have already been receiving scattered light rain for last couple of days under the influence of this system. However, intensity of rain will increase as the system is now moving closer to the coast.
Initially, moderate to heavy showers can be expected over the coastal areas of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Thereafter, system will intensify into a low pressure area and move inland, increasing both rain activity and spread.
This fresh spell of rainfall will pull down the rain deficiency in Odisha, which stands at 17% on September 11.
Let us have a look at the rainfall recorded in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday across both the states.
