The state of Bihar has been witnessing good showers since past few days. The reason could be attributed to the axis of Monsoon trough that is passing through Jaisalmer, the center of Low’s, Canning, Sidhi, Bankura and is moving east south eastwards to the northeast Bay of Bengal. Another cyclonic circulation is over the Bangladesh adjoining West Bengal and Northwest bay of Bengal.

Due to these combined weather systems, heavy rains are likely over southwest parts of Bihar which mainly includes Aurangabad, Rohtas, Bhabna, and Buxar. Heavy rains will continue for the next 24 hours in these regions. Moderate rains are also likely over Patna, Gaya for the next 36 to 48 hours. However, heavy intensity showers cannot be ruled out over these areas.
