Rains have once again picked up a pace in Rajasthan as many parts in the state received good rain and thundershower activities during the last 24 hours. The famous cities of Jaisalmer, Ajmer, and Bikaner recorded moderate showers, while light showers appeared over Jodhpur.
Talking about the weather system, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over West Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Central Pakistan, which would keep the rains going in the state.
Today, there is a possibility of good rain and thundershower activities over the western districts of Rajasthan. The city of Jaipur may record patchy showers. These activities are likely to continue until tomorrow.
October 6 onward, rains would become isolated over many parts of Rajasthan, and later from October 7, the weather would start clearing up from West Rajasthan. However, the eastern districts may get to see isolated showers for some more time.
These on and off rains would drop the temperatures and make the weather comfortable for the residents.
Thereafter, October 8 onward, rains would take a complete backseat and clear sky along with bright sunshine would take over the region.
The winds would blow as easterlies until October 12. Thereafter, a gradual change in the wind pattern would be noticed.
Usually, from September 1, the Southwest Monsoon starts withdrawing from West Rajasthan. However, this season has been different as extended Monsoon rains are going on in many parts of the state until now.
