These weather conditions can be attributed to a Western Disturbance which is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this weather system, light to moderate rains along with few isolated heavy spells may occur over Uttarakhand and South Jammu and Kashmir including cities like Jammu and Katra. Meanwhile, heavy rain and thundershowers also cannot be ruled out over Himachal Pradesh during the next two days.

Furthermore, with this system, the sky is expected to become partly cloudy and gradually the cloud cover will increase over many parts of North Hills of India. After July 26-27, the rainfall activities will reduce over the entire northern hills. This decrease in the rainfall activities is attributed to a fresh Western Disturbance which will prevail over the Hills of North India by July 29-30 and thereafter, the intensity of rains will see an increase once again over these areas.
